Minimum Wage - 2008 Increase
 

The National Minimum Wage rates will rise on 1st October 2008.  ASL will make any necessary adjustments for its temporary workers from 1st October. 

Main (adult) rate for workers aged 22 and over

      Rising from £5.52 per hour to
      £5.73 per hour from 1st October 2008

Development rate for workers aged 18-21 inclusive

      Rising from £4.60 per hour to
      £4.77 per hour from 1st October 2008

Young People rate for 16 and 17 year olds

      Rising from £3.40 per hour to
      £3.53 per hour from 1st October 2008

NB: Apprentices under the age of 19 are not entitled to the national minumum wage.
